Amazing Bass! – Happiness Is Easy.

This time it’s Talk Talk‘s ‘Happiness is Easy’

Being Sunday, I thought this track would a great chill out track.  Its intro beat leads you into a false sense of how the rest of the song unfolds.  It’s intertwined with beautiful bass lines, wonderful piano stabs, acoustic guitar trills, swirly Hammond organ and a haunting vocal. (also a children’s choir)

What makes it great for my Amazing Bass! series, is that it actually has three types of bass on the recording – here comes the science bit! – Fretted bass, Fretless bass and Double bass.  The bass player for Talk Talk was/is Paul webb but I believe this track was recorded with ‘guest’ bass players.
